Mgr inż. Adam Górka
Adam Górka M.Sc. graduated from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Faculty of Geology and Excavation, Department of Oil and Natural Gas Deposits, in 1970. It was also at AGH University that he completed postgraduate studies in petroleum geology and a course in management. He has built a successful career working for Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG); he moved up the career ladder starting from the position of field geologist, then specialist geologist, Head of the Department of Physical Geology of Oil and Natural Gas Prospecting Company (1970 – 1996), Deputy Director of Krakow Branch of BG Geonafta (1996 – 2003), the main specialist at the Krakow Branch, Head of Jasło Branch (2003 – 2006) and Deputy Director for Excavation –of the Sanok Branch (2007 – 2011)
He has authored and co-authored a number of analyses, designs, geological documentations and articles. He has co-organised a lot of conferences held by SITPNiG. He is a member of SITPNiG and in the years 1971-1990, he was in charge of a SITPNiG company unit.
He has been awarded a lot of medals and titles, e.g. the Bronze Cross of Merit, the Silver Cross of Merit, Person of Merit medal for his achievements in the Oil and Gas Mining Industry, Polish Mining Industry and Polish Geological Industry as well as medals granted by SITPNiG and NOT. He also holds the title of Third Class Mining Director.
